Accident, Critical Illness & Sickness Plans – Health Insurance deductibles, copays and other medical expenses have increased for all of us over the years. Whether you have a High Deductible plan on the Marketplace (Obamacare), a Short-rem Medical (STM) plan, a Ministry Healthshare plan or something else, maybe what they call the Plan Enhancer is for you. Many people today want a low deductible which have very large premiums. Choosing a higher deductible plan while “Enhancing” it with insurance to cover that deductible, usually gives you better coverage while saving you money on your monthly premiums.   

Dental Discount Plans – To tell you the truth, as a broker and agent of a lot of different medical plans, I’ve never been a big fan of Dental plans other than those offered through employer plans. Most dental plans average premiums are approx. $35 – $50 per month. That’s around $600 per year. Then they have waiting periods and up to 1 year before they do major things such as Root Canals, Crowns and etc… Then they only offer a 50% Discount with a Maximum Benefit of $1,000 – $1,500/yr. It just doesn’t make good business sense to me. I would rather pay around $150/yr. for a Dental Discount Plan that has No-Waiting Periods and No Maximum on the discounted services whether it’s $1,000 or $20,000.00.
